If the out of hours service had got a GP to see you Lylie, you probably wouldn't have ended up in hospital all night. They should realise that you have been through enough to know when something is not right. It makes me angry. Glad you are getting treatment though and hope it works quickly.

Just seen this post for the first time. There is a problem with this new site as all the posts that you have not seen are not lit up at all!

Dear Lylie, this is such a shame! To have left you in the first place is a disgrace but, as we all know, not unusual. Thank goodness that you are in the right place now but I hope that you are not there for long. I am sure that your lovely son, Simon, will update us. Thinking of you today and wishing you a healthier, good new year.

Just when you thought you'd got rid of me, here I am again!! Home safe and sound (ish) with a good supply of antibios and a foul temper, really p'd off that I missed the sherry last night....................the other three patients got some, but not me, as I was on antibiotics (had maybe had half an armfull by then!!)!!!!

I've decided NOT to involve myself in needing NHS services on a bank holiday again, obviously it doesn't apply to mere patients at these times. Thank goodness for the local casualty dept at cottage hospital, they were very much on the ball and moved immediately to get me admitted to the ward, dripped, rested and home again in 8hours, they were really lovely, kind and very understanding. (except for the sherry!!!!!)BigGrin BigGrin

When I phoned out of hours, the SENIOR sister couldn't grasp WHY I thought I needed seeing before Monday, though I had given her staff nurse and her ALL the gory details!! Guess what..................she thought I had ASKED for depo jabs, which are "such a lot of fuss for a bit of arthritis!!" I shall be handing her one of those useful and informative NRAS booklets on the subject!

thanks for all the good wishes....................oh, and Si says thanks too, he struggled with the new site and says the other one was MUCH easier for a technophobe like him to use!!!!

Hi Lylie,
Thank goodness they let you out! Shame about the sherry, I trust you'll have some at home?
I would have expected you to know better Lylie than ASK for depos!RollEyes
It's not like there's anything wrong with youMad , I mean did you think you were ill or something to want attention on a bank (or doctors') holiday?
I hope your elbow is more comfortable now.
Simon did a great job, he's a very caring young man.
Love and hugs,
Doreen xx

Glad you are home and feeling a bit more comfortable Lylie. I just can't comment on the out of hours nurse Scared - I'd spoil my manners in a big way. Take care.

Hi Lylie

Have just read this post, what an awful situation, as if you can't be ill over the holiday! I hope you're making good progress now, and are feeling a lot more comfortable. Hooray for family coming to the rescue! (Lots of boos to whoever said a lot of fuss over depos).

Love Lyn

Thank goodness that you are home and in one piece! 'a bit of arthritis', you wish! I hope that she doesn't ever have to experience what you are going through as well as having 'a bit of' anything else!

As for the sherry! Shame that you missed our night out on Hogmanay but once you have finished your antibiotics I am sure that we can organise another.......

It is interesting that Simon had problems with this new site just as some of us do!

Look after yourself Lylie.

Love Eleanor x

Sorry, I think Glenys meant you, not me, Lylie. I'm not exactly in the wars, just going through what most of us are at the moment.
